really liked it
bookshelves: young-adult-read

A beautifully written book, though the story itself was nothing new. Perfect older sister drowns, family falls apart, younger sister left to cope and find herself. Some interesting twists. After hearing Prose speak at the NCTE convention, I was interested in reading her works. She is definitely a craftswoman and her writing style reminds me of the greats, but the book itself is just o.k. I'm going to try one of her adult books to see if I like it any better.
