it was amazing
Read in January, 1980

I used to have this book, but loaned it out. Bad move because I found it to be both witting and profound. One one level, there is a lot of satire here about a political system that is hampered by its own folly (Communist Poland among others), but there is also a charming approach to the human condition through stories about robots. Any of these stories stand on their own, but together it forms a tour de force in modern science fiction. This is one book I must reacquire for my personal library to give it another read and as a legacy to my kid and grandson.
