it was amazing

One thing I'd mention, this isn't a kids book. I'm not sure what made me think it would be - the subject of 'dodger', the cartoony cover, the blurb - but young kids might find this distressing.
The writing has the usual Pratchett panache, but it's my feeling that this has risen above Pratchett's usual excellent style, into fantabulous. He has literally outdone himself, upped his game. A casual reader might not see it, it might float right by him. But I understand the mysticism of word choice, the elegant turn of a metaphore. This book should turn up in some Englsih writing courses.
I'm terrable at synopsis, so will let someone else tell it. I will say, the book is a page turner, has the usual story arc, a abundant sprinkling of famous real life personages, well rounded characters, and is an all around, fun, good read.
