I really enjoyed this collection of novellas. They're differ widely in tone and texture, and I appreciated that. Some of them had aspects that were a little over the top or grated on me, but given the brevity it worked well. If you like thrillers and crime stories, I recommend this, even if you normally shy away from shorter forms of fiction.
