really liked it

Picked this up because I'm a huge Doc Ford fan. Started reading and the protagonist is Hannah Smith. Was rather startled because I remember her from a Doc Ford book & she died in that one. Turns out, this is Hannah Smith (Four) and she is a fishing guide in the same area as Doc Ford. She inherited her late uncle's guide business and also his private detective agency. She's been hired by one of her fishing clients (a very wealthy man) to search for his missing niece, who is scheduled to come into a multi-million dollar inheritance, but has gone missing from her home. Hannah starts asking questions of the various locals she knows and finds out about a very shady (and dangerous) man who built a rock seawall for the missing woman, who disappeared 2 days after he was finished. Doc Ford is mentioned late in the book and it looks like Hannah has her eye on Doc for a little romance.
