really liked it
bookshelves: nonfiction-weather, nonfiction-history

I had trouble getting into this book at first. There was a lot of background on a lot of people and families, not to mention locations. It was needed though, in order to get to know these people and their families and well as their way of thinking and the events that had shaped their lives prior to the hurricane of 1928. When the author started speaking of the hurricane hitting, that is when I got really hooked, as sad as that is to admit.
