Jibberwillies At Night
This is a common theme in picture books for the little ones. I always love Yumi Heo's illustrations but this book is not better than most of her other titles. I miss some of the lightness in color and more hightened craziness/playfulness in her previous books. Rachel Vail's text is fine, nothing outstanding, either... and I am uncertain why she misuses ONE word (comfortable, rather than comforting/comfort) where everything else is completely grammatically correct and no misspelling. It just bugs me -- I imagine this was very intentionally done, and maybe even based on a true child's usage, but.... it does not work for me within the context of the book.
