it was ok

This is a highly opinionated and biased review (or rant).

Don't judge a book by it's cover?
Don't judge a book by recommendations either, it seems now. This book has been a good lesson on how to take recommendations in context. Who recommended? well the whole world I assume.

It could have been a good read for someone in their adolescence and early 20s (purely from the perspective of growing up and not just ageing). Although even there I doubt if the adolescent will want to take the pinch of salt the author is giving them because, the very entitlement he is talking about is deeply prevalent in that age and blinds them.

Then who is this for? Perhaps the adults who have already (probably obviously) figured out all that stuff along with life and just want to feel good by saying, "yes I knew it!"

There is good advice in there, hidden in probably two or three topics of discussions among the myriad of redundant information but (and this is a very personal opinion, although this whole review is, but you know...) because the author has set the tone of being someone who probably himself has been one entitled teenager and is still figuring out a lot of those things, I find it hard to trust what he says.
On top of that, he shows the attitude (at least in his writing) of what he says is the truth. While I personally feel that these kind of self-help writings can utilize some balance and openness in what is what, instead of asserting their biases.
Though the author has tried to call his biases out and said many a times, "what I think today can change/evolve with time and I might not agree to that anymore in the future" but I find certain emptiness in that acceptance.

The writing was quite redundant and at points felt offending certain gender. I really feel the author could have used some sensitivity. Of course, the title is "The subtle art of not giving a f*ck" but then your readers deserve some (says an entitled reader).

now the most important part,
The title is misleading. What you expect after reading the title and what you get in the book has huge disparity, except one thing that author keeps on coming to (just to justify the title I guess), "choose your "f*cks" wisely.
