it was amazing
bookshelves: juvenile_fiction, teen-fiction, adult_picturebook, adultfiction, coffee_table_books

We get this out each year to read at Christmas. It develops into a wonderful story and it is so great to see the handwritten letters that Tolkien sent to his children over the years.

Lisa I've never read/seen it. Sounds like one to buy...

Kate Definitely - I'm sure your boys would love it.

Lisa I can't believe it. The library owns one copy AND the comptuter said it was available AND it was at the Main Library when I was there today AND it was actually on the shelf in correct alphabetical order!!

The boys and I read the first 5 letters tonight...they were so amazing. I wrote a few letters from santa when they were little...but this guy puts my feeble attempts to being a creative parent to shame! Wowser.

Kate Yea for the library!
