it was amazing

Recommended for: anyone with a sense of humor.

I cannot overstate how much I loved this book.

While the Moore's writing style and the plot twists are irreverent, the amount of research and thought that went into filling in the holes of the first 30 years of Jesus's life is astounding. And the result is brilliant.

Although it may be uncomfortable for the strictest of Christian believers - it is truly written as a "prequel" to the Bible; as such, the story and character development is intended to lead us to who Jesus would become later in life. And for anyone who has never read the Bible or who does not hold it in any regard as religious text - the book is flat out the funniest thing I have ever read.

I have purchased this book as a gift for three different people - all of whom have reacted just as strongly to it as I have.
