it was amazing
bookshelves: 2004, 2011-12-read-alouds, 2012

I started this as a read-aloud with pretty tremendous apprehension. It's the first straight nonfiction book we've read since Kakapo Rescue. Luckily, my students were patient with it taking a while to get into the story, and they loved all the gross information and the social justice issues revealed by the plague.
