it was amazing

I enjoyed the book thoroughly. Although the story started a little slow as the main characters were introduced and their initial personalities secured for my taste, it gained momentum. I have to say that the author's description of the Japanese culture leading up to the start and through WWII was superb. My emotions rolled with the hardship and the eventual success of the brothers in their individual lives had me captivated to the end. Such a good read.
