Benoit Lelièvre Where you at? I'm at p. 475

Cat I got sidetracked by my bookclub's book - had to finish it. Still only about 200 pages in, but hope to make substantial progress this week. Enjoying?

Benoit Lelièvre I do. The only parts that drive me mad are the tennis club chapters. I mean, I like Hal and his family, but I don't care about Pemulis, Otis P. Lord, John Wayne and the others.

Cat Those do go on and on, don't they.

Ellen all the tennis scenes are almost worth it for the eschaton. do you guys like the halfway house segments?

Benoit Lelièvre I do love them. Marathe & Steeply are also growing on me. I'm a bit disappointed by his use of Kate Gompert though. He started so good with her.

Cat Same here - love the halfway house stuff & Marathe & Steeply are hilarious. I'm told Kate doesn't get much more ... airtime.
