An excellent, comprehensive look at the life of one of my favorite authors. Highly recommended if the subject interests you!

As in most biographies, some sections feel a little like Rubio is proving her thesis rather than revealing a life. That said, she does a pretty good job of supporting her ideas! I suppose if anyone is qualified to make such assumptions about LMM, it would be someone like Rubio who has spent so much of her life researching her subject. But there are spots where she is less-convincing to me, and so it stands out more.

Definitely her treatment of LMM is always respectful and balanced without groveling adoration or harsh judgment, for which I am thankful. This book has a spot of honor on my bookshelves next to my other LMM books.
