it was amazing
bookshelves: crime-mystery

Richard Stark is one of Donald Westlake many pseudonyms. "The Hunter", also released with the movie's title "Point Blank" is the first of a long running crime series totally 28 books. The anti-hero Parker is the most hard-boiled crook in fiction. Although noted for comic caper novels, Westlake's screenplay for the movie "The Grifters" reflects the harsh grittiness developed in the Parker series. Read all of them. The good news is that Westlake is still writing them.
