A real chore to read this book as I found Elizabeth just too indulgent, me me me. Incrediably boring in parts with endless tedious detail as she attempts to deliver the history of Italy, India and Bali when what we really want is her journey. Couldnt help but be sceptical that it all happened as she described.

Giving herself 4 months in each place to eat/ pray/ love is was just too staged to be believable. On cue she discovers all the right things about herself enabling her to move on to the next leg of the trip.

I particulary didnt like the book deal being in place with an advance from the publisher which really confirmed that this was just a work assignment and not a personal journey.
