As a former fat kid, I can appreciate every word of this truthful and informative memoir/weight loss guide. There is great advice about how to set smart goals, how to stick with it, how to retrain your diet and your thinking and your habits.

As hard as it is to be an overweight teen, it's even harder to enter adulthood carrying the same weight. This book offers tools to help teens understand how to lose weight for all the right reasons, and how to do it in a healthy, responsible, and long-term way.

With such a large portion of the United States population of children struggling with obesity and weight issues, this book meets a larger (pun intended) need than ever before.
