it was amazing
bookshelves: author-to-look-for

I loved going on Cami's journey as she plows through the heartbreak of hearing her husband one day say that he is leaving the marriage after being unhappy for such a long time. Cami examines her motives for marrying Bobby in the first place and then what her life will be without him. Her first concern is to make sure her daughter remains in touch with her father and to also make sure that her daughter doesn't become completely soured on the idea of love and marriage. As Cami begins her journey to come to terms with her new life, she finds comfort in her career as a highly respected veterinarian. The many animals that she has adopted actually guide Cami to a feeling of independence, confidence, and peace knowing that no matter what the future holds, she can meet it head on with joy in her heart.
This was another one of those books that you want to continue to read even after you have closed the book for the final time. While the serious plot is enough to bring you to tears at times, the mood is always lightened by Cami's wonderful misfit animals and especially by Muriel, the delightful goat.
