I didn't like this book at all. I don't buy the whole 'regressed memories' from a hypnotherapist concept.

Dave I haven't read it and don't plan to. I agree that recovered memories are of dubious value, and I'm skeptical of the practice of seeking them. I do feel some sympathy for M. N. Beck having been raised by a Mormon intellectual icon and then coming to doubt the church. The pain and alienation must have been / be profound.

Mike I'm uncertain as to the "repressed memory" sydrome but I thought Beck's book was reasonably credible overall. Certainly not a great book, but not a bad book either.
