When I was a girl my mother wanted me to be a flight attendant. It was never my ambition, however, and after reading this book I'm extremely glad I never pursued it. (Having to be nice and friendly to hordes of strangers every day? EW. An introvert's nightmare.) Even though this book was a light and entertaining read with lots of good stories about passengers and airline personnel alike, it seems that being a flight attendant pays next to nothing. And if you've ever spent any time on an airplane, you know it's a thankless job. I enjoyed this memoir and read it in one sitting. A small nitpick: beware, the author has used up her lifetime allotment of exclamation points in this text! It seems like every third sentence is ended with an exclamation! That drives me crazy!
