Freddie Ramos Adds It All Up
I liked this one better than the last couple in the series. Freddie is struggling with math and worries about his friends teasing him for failing his math tests. He also sees a new student being teased for how she looks. He learns that it's OK for people to have learning differences or look different and that it's important to help people feel included. A bit simplistic, maybe, but it felt like an appropriate way into that conversation for a younger audience, and my 6-year-old definitely got it. He doesn't get any new powers in this one, which is probably for the best. I appreciated the way Jules approached this one.
