From the police department Policy Manual: "Prior to taking any action, both professionally as well as personally, all employees should consider the following: If your action becomes the lead story on the six o'clock news, - Will you be proud? - Will your police department and your community be proud? - Will your family and friends be proud? " Thomason creates a fast paced story inspired by this rule. We follow Clay and Danny two police officers who are friends from high school. Danny is undercover and a bit impulsive. Clay is steady and plays by the rules. Danny, an ex-cop turned criminal assists a wealthy lawyer set up a huge drug syndicate. Clay and Danny get enmeshed in the murders that are a result. A moment of weakness, the 6 0'clock rule is broken. This is a solid page turner.
