Calvin and Hobbes in some ways fall into the same category as Joni Mitchell and geology: why didn't anyone tell me about them when I was little? Why didn't I go looking for them? How was I to know such things could possibly exist?

message 1: by Shelley (new)

Shelley Growing up by the comic section of the paper it was always: Calvin, The Far Side, Peanuts, and then sometimes Family Circus. I also fell into stamp and rock collecting for a short while, but not Joni Mitchell. Maybe if she sang about rivers filled with cheeseburgers!
