really liked it

I work at a prep school that graduates a lot of kids to the Ivy Leagues, and this book is absolutely bang on in depicting the culture of neurotic over achievement that's developed around them. On one hand, I found it utterly hilarious in its accuracy. The dark side of course is that some of these kids are in absolute agony trying to live up to the standard they or their parents have set. Penelope might be a geek by mainstream standards, but she's one of the few kids in the book who doesn't see the point in academic masochism.
