really liked it

An admiring but by no means adulatory assessment of Obama's use of military power and diplomacy to counter various threats and challenges around the world including al Qaeda, the Taliban, the Iranian and North Korean nuclear programs, and Chinese military and economic hegemony. Sanger praises Obama for negotiating wherever possible and striking hard where necessary, but he is critical of the Administration's failure to act in Syria and notes other inconsistencies in dealing with the Arab Spring and its aftermath. Solid reporting and analysis.
