She's Come Undone was probably my favorite book in my early twenties...I must have read it 15 times. Lamb's newest novel started off well, but veered into too many subplots. While it was interesting and emotional, the book lost its focus in the middle and the ending was a bit rushed and disconnected from the start of the book. Well worth a read, but it doesn't compare to some of his earlier work. However, he always manages to make me cry at the end of his books, and his characters are amazingly real and engaging.
