really liked it
bookshelves: audio-book, historical-fiction

Another great Eoin Colfer book with more great Colfer characters. However, this is the first time he has created an all-out evil villain with no humor or positive qualities. Historical fiction (very loosely historical) is also a new genre for Colfer and he does well.

Michael Ames Now hold on, it's perfectly okay for you to be in love with Artemis Fowl -- he's a fictional character. But Eoin Colfer is a real live Irish human being. He probably has red hair. At some point I have to draw the line.

Libby Ames Relax, have you seen his picture?

Michael Ames I will not relax -- you proved years ago that looks are not what you care about in a man (red hair excluded).

Lucky for me I have brains.
