really liked it

I enjoyed this book by Ms. Dahl more than I enjoyed some of her later novels. Our heroine, Lori, had dreamed of the big city, but when her father died moved back to her small town to take over his auto body shop. Our hero Quinn is one hot architecht.

Lori loves romance novels and each chapter begins with a few verses from a pretend novel. Quinn steals a few of these books away to learn more about ways to get Lori excited. This modeling of behavior is a theme, but not the key conflict in the story.

Of course, when I don’t review something right away I don’t remember all of what I liked and what I don’t liked. In this book, the development of the relationship between the two characters made much more sense than in some other books of hers that I have read.

I also loved the fact that he’s an architecht and the way that his techniques were woven into the books.

Finally, I appreciated that it was fun and sexy without the love scenes feeling like they were dropped in as an after thought.

Rated on my five star romance scale.
