really liked it

I liked Keri Arthur's werewolf series, but had a hard time liking that heroine. I wanted to know what happened in the series and to the characters, but Riley is not a sympathetic character or one I can relate to. While Destiny in this book that begins the series is no really a character I can relate to as I am not a dragon. She is a sympathetic character and one I could root for. Although i think there could have been more depth to her character. SPOILER ALERT: She loses both parents in the book, but the emotions and the reaction to that are a bit tempered. It is almost as if Arthur isn't sure how to write that she mentions that Destiny is sad, griefstricken and then well time goes on. I don't know it isn't as if that is the point of this story so the lack of emotion doesn't detract from teh storyline, i just like my characters well fleshed out. Still it was a quite good read and I definitely liked it better than the Riley Jensen series, which I do like as well.
