really liked it

This book is a police, suspense, mystery, Christian novel. Police officer Carly Edwards has been stuck in Juvenal detention since she was involved in an officer involved shooting 6 months earlier which her sergeant said is for her own good. She is also recently divorced. She is called in to help with a homicide that involves a young man who asked for her because she finds out he is a friend of her mother's. Her mother is a Christian and has shared the message of Christ with this young man, Londy. Londy claims he is not guilty and Carly believes him. She wants to be involved in the investigation so she can prove that she is ready to be back in active police patrol. She is kicked off the investigation after she starts uncovering police corruption. She finds out that her x and mother have been talking and he also has become a Christian. Carly doesn't want anything to do with God because he didn't cure her father from cancer. The book had a lot of suspense and made you wonder which police officers and/or city officials was corrupt. Carly also learned about forgiveness and some things for herself.
