really liked it

So far the Mongoliad has been easy to read - one day and seamless where one might have expected lumpiness as the multiple authors took turns or struggled with plot minutiae. The story has some discontinuities but this in the same style as Stevenson's other books. There are editorial breaks as the knights of the Red Rose and their adopted guide split up achieve local objectives en route to their hoped for solution to the problem of Mongol destruction of Christendom.
This book lacks intellectual power but is rattling good military, historical romp nonetheless. In true SF tradition casual sex is not practiced nor used to titillate. chivalry is a watchword of the knights as it was in Arthurian legend with Sir Galahad ( Perceval).
I am preordering M 2 and if possible, M3.
This is a pleasant book for teens and adults.
