it was ok

I'm not sure what it was about this book, but I found I had a hard time reading this story. I think part of it was due to even though Jessica's passions are awakened after coming acrossa tryst between Alister and another woman and she takes this passion to her soon-to-be husband, I wanted to see some of their life together. Instead, we jump ahead seven years and Jessica's husband has been passed away for a year. She is getting antsy being in London and feels that she isn't able to move past her grief so she decides to take a trip to a property of land her late husband has left to her. While the arrangements for her journey is set up by her brother-in-law when she comes aboard the ship she encounters Alister once again.

I really just had a hard time getting on board with their relationship, and there really wasn't a reason that sticks out at me as to why. I just may not have been in the right mood for this book and will plan to give it another try later.
