really liked it
bookshelves: non-fiction

Bryson's usual light touch - it's a pleasure to read. Taking each room in turn, he traces the history of the things we don't even notice, sometimes hurtling off at extraordinary tangents. Always entertaining, it's a book you can pick up and put down again and again, dipping in when you have a spare twenty minutes.
