it was amazing
bookshelves: currently-reading

Love this series more and more with each book. Charlie Madigan is a terribly human character, believable and capable of making mistakes. This novel picks up almost directly after the last, which was a relief; the last one ended on a cliffhanger that made a friend of mine go, "Really? She ended it there?!"

The plot was good and moved the story along; we got glimpses of things that, IMO, hint at plots and storylines to come.

I initially picked up The Better Part of Darkness for a reason one should never do: I liked the cover art. The writing in this series, however, has yet to disappoint.
