This book is definitely a slower-paced 'Anne of Green Gables' type classic. It's not your modern-day, instant-gratification book, which I appreciated (after I got into it). I really love the stubborn, hold-her-own character of Elnora. She stood her ground even when she was being ridiculed by peers for her lower-income differences. I love how she finds education, love and divinity through the Limberlost. It's a book I'll keep and read again with my daughters.
