it was amazing
bookshelves: spirituality, saints

I really love this book. There are many quotations from several books including two translations of the Dialogue, Fr. Raimondo's biography of Catherine, and a volume of Catherine's letters. The quotes are arranged by virtues that correspond with Mysteries of the Rosary. For instance, humility for the first joyful mystery (the annunciation) and love of neighbor for the second (the visitation). Sadly, the book does not include the luminous mysteries. Reading the short meditations while praying is like praying the rosary with Catherine. It's very edifying.

After the mysteries there are other topics of interest such as prayer and the papacy. These chapters also contain short quotes from Catherine's writings. Though not as exciting as the rosary chapters these are interesting and useful for study and meditation. All in all this is a wonderful book!
