The audiobook narration was poor and lacked emotion. I was used to Bryson's books with more energy. The facts and impact on history that the most mundane parts of food were interesting. Another 'dumbed down' version of some indepth and complex ideas. The end lends itself to politics, but some interesting and well backed ideas.
