it was amazing

Barely Alive is not your average take on zombies. I love zombies and I thought I knew what direction the story would take, but I was wrong.

The characters are strong, especially Heather, and are all well done. The novel starts with Paul a young guy who has 12 weeks to live before he becomes a full blown zombie. He was injected by the virus by total creeptsti dude Dominic, who create the virus. What a nice guy, right?

Paul and his buds are supposed to go out, grab some girls, and bring them back. But they don't expect that once they have the girls they'll fight back. Paul has an instant attraction to Heather and so do we. She is definately the girl to stand up to these people.

Once it comes about that she's immune to the virus, true love is born.

A surprising read with enough twists and turns to keep you interested and reading in bed until you can't keep your eyes open any longer. A keeper of a book with a great plot, and characters you can root for.
