Read 3 times. Last read December 1, 1995.

Totally the best Mary Higgins Clark novel! It's incredibly suspenseful, you don't know who is at fault, you don't know how to feel, until a bomb drops at the end. I read this three times and each was an enjoyable as the last. I think it's a better winter than summer read simply because it takes place in the Northeast during the winter and it makes it a little more eerie and relatable. I would read this novel again in a heartbeat, and I'm not one to reread a lot of books.

Sara Really? I knew right off the bat who was the bad guy. This was my first Clark book...and I probably won't read another.
