In this book, City Dog did not stop running on that first day in the country, all without the leash. He spotted something sitting on a rock that he had not seen before, it was Country Frog. City Dog and Country Frog played together. Becuase City Dog was new to the country, Country Frog taught him Country Frog games. That was spring. City Dog did not stop to smell the green, green grass. He ran straight for Country Frog's rock. "I'm going to do you a favor," said City Dog. "I'm going to teach you City Dog games." City dog games were fetching, barking and smelling. That was summer. In winter City Dog did not stop to eat the snow, he ran straight for Country Frog's rock. "What shall we play today? Dog or Frog games," asked City Dog. "I'm a tired frog," said Country Frog. "Maybe we can play remembering games." They remembered the summer: fetching, barking and smelling. They remembered the spring: croaking. -by Alexander
