really liked it

PJ O'Rourke read the 800-odd pages of Adam Smith's "Wealth of Nations" and condensed it for latter day readers like you and me.

Learnings - Adam Smith did not invent capitalism, or the concept of a free market. Nevertheless, he was one of the early advocates and also a critic. Adam Smith's life and work expedited the demise of mercantilism and the dawn of the capitalist system.

In today´s context when comedians are also newsreaders (of sorts), an economic critique written by a humourist is not that out-of-place.
