** spoiler alert ** I love Junko's illustrations - particularly "so they set off to find him".

The traditional Japanese folk tale doesn't really stand up to modern politically correct ideas - with the basic premise being some mice parent's search for the "best and mightiest husband in the world" for their daughter. But the story is lovely - particularly the ending where the mice discover that mice are in fact the best and mightiest.
