really liked it
bookshelves: latin

I would guess Junot Diaz isn't for everyone but he is for me. He's an amazing writer who doesn't just create stories, he creates a world, that few of us would have entry to without his writing: the rough world of poverty in the Dominican Republic, and the even rougher world of the Dominican imigrant in the tenements of New Jersey, where we encounter love and despair.
