it was ok

It is a script more than a novel. Like a typical movie, unexpected things happen at the most predictable moments. The entire novel is a build up towards the climax, which is a disappointing fist fight between a matinee cinema type hero and a stereotypical villain. The narrative in the middle is not tight enough to maintain any kind of tension in what is supposed to be a crime thriller. Not at all piquant enough to be worth a second read.
