Whenever I grow a bit weary of my current book selections, I fall back on Pratchett's Disc World series. With so many books in it, there's always one I still need to read and it's a pleasant, fun diversion.

While the Discworld novels are not life changing, they are well written and filled with humor and characters you can't help but love - especially if you have followed them through several books.

Men at Arms continues the story of the Night Watch, with commander Sam Vimes. I enjoyed the charm of this book and the familiar characters. I think Thud! was a stronger book, however and many of Pratchett's others rank higher in my opinion. Still this was exactly the escape I need, a rollicking, fun and quick read.
