Abby Savage knows her family is white trash. Let's see... her oldest sister is 21 and has a kid whose father she was briefly married to before they got divorced and he fled the scene. Her other older sister is currently pregnant with the child of her guitar teacher. And her mom just got married to said guitar teacher and is now also expecting a child of his. Abby is determined NOT to repeat their mistakes. So she creates rules for finding her One True Love. These rules will keep her from falling into any of the traps the other Savage women have fallen into... although they just might keep her from falling for anyone ever.

I liked this book a lot. It's a perspective you don't see very often and it was funny while still dealing with fairly heavy issues. Abby's best friend is her neighbor Cody who is gay but not out, a deadly combination in small-town Arizona. Her dealing with her family and her Rules and him dealing with his sexuality make up the meat of the book.
