Review:
This book continued with the same feel of the second, which is to say still fun but also with some heaviness and tension. The focus was on the characters making a dangerous ocean voyage and meeting with an even more dangerous fae race in order to settle a debt Ciaran owed.

There was also some focus on relationship struggles, and the relationships deepened a bit more. Noah tried to help Ciaran and Trent form a bond so that Trent could be immortal like Ciaran. Ciaran worried Trent was pulling away and would soon turn out like every other man he'd dated and just ask him to grant a favor before leaving. Trent worried that Ciaran would tire of him and eventually realize he was just a boring human not good enough for an immortal, powerful fairy. Julien struggled with jealousy, never having been in a serious relationship before. Noah had to confront and open up about his abusive ex.

I liked getting to know the characters more, seeing the dynamics among all of them as they started working together in this one, seeing their relationships grow, learning more about the fae, and just being along for the ride for their story.

Overall this is a series I'm really enjoying with a fun crew of characters, sweet and sexy romances, interesting magic and fae society, some light fun, some heavier tension and emotion, and a great story!

Fans of Books 1 and 2 in Tess Barnett's Tale of the Tuath Dé Series. Anyone who likes paranormal romance that's fun and a little silly but also gets deeper as it grows, mlm romance, fae, witches, and some heaviness and tension that's balanced with sweetness.
