Death in Her Hands
Apr 11, 2021
I appreciate the exercise of this--inhabiting the mind of an older woman (perhaps a little bored with life) as she spirals into mad speculation about a disturbing note found in the woods by her cabin--but it goes on for too long, and without Moshfegh's usual barbed and grimy style, I often lost interest in the story. I still consider OM one of my favorite writers, but this didn't win me over as much as her last three books.
