it was ok
bookshelves: non-fiction

This book was not really what I expected, which is not to say it was not worthwhile. I expected it to be more about heaven, or even about the theology of the afterlife. It is very much about Mr. Piper's accident and recovery, and in that respect reminds me a lot of Joni Eareckson's story. The prose was a little dry, which was a shame given the nature of the work.

I give this book a lower rating not because I find much fault with it, but mostly because it is not my style... I don't generally choose non-fiction or even much Christian inspiration. I was not looking to be persuaded one way or the other about the existence or nature of heaven and in fact, my opinions were not changed.
