really liked it

Red Leech blew away Death Cloud. Maybe I related to the characters and story more than in Death Cloud because the plot revolved around the post-civil war United States. The plot revolved around things I knew, so the story was more enjoyable. I liked that Virginia played a larger role, even though I usually hate Sherlock love interests. Virginia is wild, American and she breaks the boundaries of Sherlock’s time. I can’t help but admire her character. On a final note, Red Leech has more action and there never seemed to be a lull, like in Death Cloud. The story is filled with pieces of the mystery as well as more tidbits that become key in Sherlock’s later life. Andrew Lane created another nice mystery/adventure story to feed my Sherlock obsession. It was definitely well done.
